So after an eternity of bad news about jobs, I'm starting to see some success in jobs. I got hired as a part time microbiologist at Primary Children's Hospital starting this coming Monday. Woo hoo!
I also interviewed for a volunteer position at a DNA Research database at Cardiology over in LDS Hospital. It is pretty cutting edge research and would be awesome if I got the position.
I also wouldn't mind getting the job I interviewed recently for at the U of U medical school hospital. It would be in pediatrics and would involve doing research on babies. If you've seen LOST, we kind of do the same thing that the others do to the plane survivors who are pregnant. I guess there are a few differences: We get consent, are not on a mystical island, have state of the art equipment, and the research team isn't comprised of fictional characters.
When I went and interviewed with Laurie and Hillarie at the U's medical school I tried to package my wounded wrist so as to appear hygienic. Janelle later brought my attention to the fact that it looked like an attempt on my part to cover up an attempt. Darn it!
Oh, and n case you didn't catch it, I might end up working at three different SLC Hospitals before the next few months are through. Weird, huh?
Also, I dropped chocolate into my keyboard. It melted before I cought it, but I cleaned it out with paper towel on a toothpick.
