Back in town

Last night/this morning we got back from Page, AZ. It was a super fun weekend with highlights as follows:
  • Not shaving
  • Not getting sunburned
  • Having a camel-back backpack
  • Learning about the Glen Canyon Dam
  • Learning about the history of Dominguez y Escalante
  • 8 hours on Lake Powell
  • Floating down the Colorado River for 15 miles with a fun guide
  • Seeing real petroglyphs
  • Hiking to Rainbow Bridge
  • Exploring ancestral Puebloan ruins
  • Standing at the top of 6000 foot cliffs without a handrail
  • Driving in a 2 mile tunnel through the canyon wall
  • Hiking the edge of Manson Mesa
  • Swimming at the motel next door
  • Seeing dinosaur tracks
  • Getting chocolate-dipped ice cream cones
  • Remembering what it is like to go on a road trip with an 8- and a 12-year old girl
  • Getting my flat tire fixed for only eight dollars
  • Lizards everywhere
  • Finding places in canyons that echoed really loud
If you haven't been to Page, AZ, I highly recommend going and planning on being overwhelmed by interesting things to see.
