
Last night/this morning we got back from Page, AZ. It was a super fun weekend with highlights as follows:
- Not shaving
- Not getting sunburned
- Having a camel-back backpack
Learning about the Glen Canyon Dam
- Learning about the history of Dominguez y Escalante
- 8 hours on Lake Powell
- Floating down the Colorado River for 15 miles with a fun guide
- Seeing real petroglyphs
- Hiking to Rainbow Bridge
- Exploring ancestral Puebloan ruins
Standing at the top of 6000 foot cliffs without a handrail
- Driving in a 2 mile tunnel through the canyon wall
- Hiking the edge of Manson Mesa
- Swimming at the motel next door
- Seeing dinosaur tracks
- Getting chocolate-dipped ice cream cones
- Remembering what it is like to go on a road trip with an 8- and a 12-year old girl
Getting my flat tire fixed for only eight dollars
- Lizards everywhere
- Finding places in canyons that echoed really loud
