Email From an Old Friend? Not So Fast!

Last night/this morning at 12:05, I got an email from an old friend that I used to play in a band with, but who since moved to DC for school and I've barely heard a thing from him for several years. The email was addressed to contacts with names or emails starting "a" through "c".

It read as follows:
How are you doing? I am sorry, but I travelled to England for a Seminar and I am stranded here. I need a favour from you because i was robbed by a taxi driver who drove off with my bag where my money, and other valuable things were kept. I hate to bother you, but i will like you to assist me with a  loan urgently of about $2,670 USD to sort-out myself back home.
I will appreciate whatever you can afford and i'll pay you back as soon as i return,Kindly let me know if you can be of help? so that i can send you the Details to use when sending the money through western union or money gram since that's what works here in England.

Thank you

Brian
There is something hilarious to me about internet scams, but I should probably facebook him to let him know his account's been hacked.

It's always those adverbs that give it away. People never say "kindly" in real emails. -But they teach you to do that when you're taking English lessons in Nigeria.
