Dear Nevada Gaming Commission,
I live in Salt Lake City, UT and have seen some billboards here in town advertising for Wendover's Casinos. On these signs it is fairly common for the casino to claim that it has the "loosest slots in town" but I have a few questions about what that really means.

First, are loose slots the ones that pay out often, but not so much? Or the ones that pay out less often but you get big payouts? Or is it that you just tend to earn back closer to how much you put in? I assume, since they are making claims as to their slots' looseness that looseness is somehow monitored. Do you monitor looseness? Is there a Looseness Scale?
While we're on the subject, has looseness waxed or waned over the last fifty years? What was the mean looseness score fifty years ago? Twenty? What is a normal looseness score today?

I wonder if those casinos are being honest when they claim to be the most loose. I want reassurance that your institution is keeping track of it, and penalizing those who are misleading customers about their looseness. Can you imagine playing on what you thought were the loosest slots in town, only to find that they are in fact the third or even fourth most loose slots in town? I'm sure you can appreciate how frustrating that would be and I appreciate your concern and quick reply on the matter.
Most sincerely,
Andrew
