Today I (Andrew) was mowing the lawn as my mother pulled into the driveway. Before she even got into the house she returned to the car and drove away. When she came home the second time I was having a cool glass of post-mow water. She said that just moments before she had pulled up at the house the first time, a young woman was walking towards her down the middle of the street without a bit of clothing on. She was apparently smiling pleasantly and waved to my mom.
Mother's first reaction was to not give this
weirdo the reaction that she was obviously looking for. A few seconds later as my mom was pulling into the driveway she realized that she should probably have the police come and do something.Mumsy got back in the car and pulled away to find the disrobed girl. As she pulled around the corner, the nudist was almost covered with a man's dress shirt which had apparently come from the man in the car that she was now hitting and yelling at (Saying something about needing to show
him what love really was). It soon became obvious that he was more interested in getting her some help and covering her up than in listening to what she was saying.As the police arrived they asked my mom to help button her shirt. The girl was so high on meth or Ecstasy that she thought my mom was her mom. This poor girl started vacillating between the ecstasy of imaginary love, and horror at being fully exposed in public.
She was breaking down and crying with shame as my mom helped dress her, then asking people to take her clothes off again. The police got her covered and took her in and my mom came back home.I just mowed the lawn.

Apparently she is a well-known girl here in the neighborhood and only recently got into drugs through a boyfriend. I feel bad for her because she'll probably feel a little stigmatized for a while. I'm not sure why I am sharing all this, except that it is such a weird story. I felt that I had to let the world know how weird today was.
